Iran’s pavilion in Beijing Int'l Book Fair has been launched officially in the presence of Iranian and Chinese officials.
Local media quoted director of Iran Cultural Fairs Institute, Amir-Masoud Shahramnia, at the Wednesday event as saying to the participants, “I am delighted for the auspicious occasion in which Iran managed to attend the BIBF as a guest of honor.”
He also noted that Iran presence at the 2017 BIBF provides “an ample opportunity for cultural interaction.”
A group of Chinese offcials attended the event with a large number of people also joining a performance by Iranian music band Lian towards the end of the Wednesday inaugural, a report said.
The Beijing International Book Fair is considered by many as one of the top four international book fairs in the world.
The 24th BIBF runs August 23-27, 2017 with Iran selected as the guest of honor at the event.
